Last Friday, 22nd June 2012, I woke up at 4 am and went straight to work a.k.a. makeup service for 1 bride's Nikah Event and 2 for function makeup. Truths - This is my first time on doing on a bride and I must say, I really love her gentle features. Perfect for natural makeup! And since this is the first time I'm doing on a bride, it is also my first time putting on her veil and tiara. I must say it is a bit of a challenge for me but Alhamdulillah.. I did it well. :)

Indeed.. It was wedding season! And lots of my friends are getting hitched as well! Crazy~ I'm actually juggling with makeup services, workshop and attending these functions - so effing busy that I'm exhausted these few days. Anyways~ A client request a trial makeup for her upcoming Nikah event this coming 6th July.


Fulfilling bride's request for a natural look (which I greatly expert in :p)
I adore her eyebrows btw, so nice and full - so youthful!

I shall post the makeup during the actual day. Few tweaks here and there. We shall see~

So.. It's wedding season. My dear old friend, Dewi is getting married today. Weddings.. Somehow it gives me hope to this heartbroken self. Weddings.. One day, I shall own my day and be the queen of the day. One day, I shall have my dream wedding. One day.. Amin Amin Amin.

I did makeup for my friend, Fura as well, we went overboard with the false eyelashes tho.. Hehe


Weddings - The only place we able to meet each other. How I missed my friends :)

I wonder how much my makeup case cost now.. My sister guessed that I have spend it more than how much an Iphone cost! I just can't stop buying.. Below are some must have products that I bought recently!


I always wanted an eyeshadow palette such as this one. A matte type that goes very well with shimmering type.


What every MUA must have in her/his makeup case: Makeup primer and Makeup brushes cleaner.


I will never have enough of false eyelashes! Really!


Lipsticks! Ranging from pinks to rouge to corals. I need a lip palette tho. Next on the list it shall!

I did a Dita Von Teese the other day, referring to Promise Phan's video on the latter look. So.. Did I nail it?




How to get the look:

1) Prime your face with makeup primer.
2) Apply 1 shade lighter foundation and apply concealer if needed.
3) Set the foundation with loose powder and compact powder.
4) Do smoky eyemakeup by using Ellana's eyeshadow: Dove, Wish and Intense.
5) Draw eyeliner, apply mascara and put on false lashes if desired.
6) Groom the eyebrows and dot a beauty mark on the either corner of the eye with liquid eyeliner.
7) Line the lips and fill them in with pencil lipliner and finished it with matte red lipstick.

And there you have it! ;)
